Green Chemistry & Sustainability Research Group

In our Research Group, we are working on different Environmental problems and their GREEN solutions, as-

1. Water Chemistry and Sustainability including

  • i. Removal of Heavy Metals by Biosorption,
  • ii. De-Fluoridation by using Industrial and Agricultural Wastes
  • iii. Removal of Synthetic Dyes from Water with help of Ultrasound

2. Corrosion inhibition in Metals by using Green Inhibitors.

3. Biodegradability of Polymers by using Green Additives.

In our Research Group presently Seven PhD Scholars are working, as-

1. Suresh Mahiya: REMOVAL OF ZINC (II), COPPER (II), NICKEL (II) AND LEAD (II) FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS BY USING SYZYGIUM AROMATICUM (CLOVES) AND CARISSA CARANDUS: BIOSORPTIVE, KINETIC AND ISOTHERM STUDIES.

2. Ramkesto Kumar: CONVERSION OF NON-BIODEGRADABLE PLASTICS TO BIODEGRADABLES USING GREEN POLYMERS.

3. Komal Makhijani: CONVERSION OF NON-BIODEGRADABLE PLASTICS TO BIODEGRADABLES USING PECTIN AND GUAR GUM AS GREEN ADDITIVES.

4. Anjali Peter: CORROSION INHIBITION POTENTIALS OF AZARDIRACHTA INDICA & GUAR GUM FOR ALUMINIUM, MILD STEEL & TIN IN ACID MEDIUM.

5. Naresh Kumar: REMOVAL OF FLUORIDE FROM WATER IN JAIPUR CITY BY USING INDUSTRIAL WASTES: A GREEN APPROACH.

6. Jyoti Juyal: REMOVAL OF REACTIVE DYES FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS BY ULTRASOUND IRRADIATED CHITOSAN NANOPARTICLES.

7. Sunil Kumar: MINIMIZATION OF FLUORIDE CONTENT OF POTABLE GROUNDWATER IN HISAR CITY OF HARYANA STATE USING BRICK POWDER(AN INDUSTRIAL WASTE) AND WHEAT HUSK(AN AGRICUTURAL WASTE).
